BBC1 has commissioned a major live interactive special from Test the Nation producer Talent Television that will allow viewers to decide the outcome of civil disputes.
The live 60-minute You Be the Judge, which is expected to air in a Saturday night slot, will allow people to air their grievances and settle civil disputes. A variety of cases will be resolved with the help of legal advisors while viewers will vote on the outcome.
The special, which has been commissioned by BBC1 controller Lorraine Heggessey and documentaries and contemporary factual commissioner Nicola Moody, is due to air in the spring.
Talent's recently appointed director of entertainment, Mark Linsey, is the executive producer with Barbara Lee as producer.
Meanwhile, Sky One has commissioned the indie to make Made in LA, a 3 x 60-minute series presented by Nicki Chapman, which will focus on the people who cater to the whims of the rich and famous. The executive producer is John Kaye Cooper. |
