INDIE Talent Television has secured a raft of new international commissions, including a second instalment of Test the Nation in Japan, writes MICHAEL ROSSER.
The live interactive event format, which tests the nation's IQ and was screened in the UK on BBC1, will air on Japanese channel TV Asahi and is to be co-produced with TV Man Union.
Talent TV picked up the Japanese rights for Test the Nation last year from Dutch creator Eyeworks, along with those for the UK and Ireland.
The indie has also secured a direct commission from state broadcaster NHK to produce 3 x 60-minute documentary series Deep Toscana, about Tuscan life.
In addition, CBBC head of entertainment Anne Gilchrist and CBBC controller Dorothy Prior have commissioned Talent TV to produce a second series of reality format Best of Friends. |
