June 2007

Talent Television, a wholly owned subsidiary of Talent Group plc, has been commissioned by BBC to produce a brand new National IQ Test special of the hugely successful Rose d'Or-winning Test The Nation interactive format.

Anne Robinson and Danny Wallace will return as hosts for 'Test the Nation – National IQ Test 2007' which will broadcast on BBC One. Produced by Talent TV's Nichola Hegarty, the 1 x 80-minute and 1 x 70-minute Test is a bigger and better IQ test for 2007 and will present a major challenge for the groups and celebrities alike.

Among the studio groups are Reality TV contestants, Removal men, Surgeons, Clairvoyants, people with the last name Robinson and people with the last name Wallace.

Tony Humphreys, Managing Director of Talent Television says: “The Test The Nation IQ Test is always hugely popular with viewers and we are delighted that Anne Robinson will again front the show with co-host Danny Wallace”.

A total of 16 Test The Nation shows have broadcast on BBC One to date. Previous Test The Nations have included Know Your English, General Knowledge, IQ Tests, and The 20th Century Test. The programmes all allow viewers to take part on the web, by text message or 'red button', providing a truly interactive experience.

Talent TV acquired the UK, Irish and Japanese rights for Test The Nation from Dutch creator Eyeworks.

Talent also holds the Irish rights to the format and brokered the first Test The Nation deal with Animo Productions in Ireland which was a huge success when it broadcast on RTE.
