BBC ONE COMMISSIONS TALENT TV TO PRODUCE January 2004
FOUR MORE TEST THE NATION SHOWS |
|
London, January 2004 - BBC ONE has commissioned Talent TV to produce four new programmes from the popular Test the Nation format.
The shows, to be produced over 2004, include the Driving Test, which has proved to be extremely successful in the territories where the show has already been produced.
Previous Test the Nations have included IQ Tests, The End of the Year Test, Relationship Test and The National Quiz. The programmes have allowed viewers to take part via the Internet, BBCi, text messaging or just plain old pen and paper; providing a truly interactive experience.
John Kaye Cooper, Executive Producer for Talent TV, says "Test the Nation has established a major benchmark in live interactive 'event TV' and we are delighted that the BBC has shown great confidence in its future development on BBC One."
Notes to editors:
Over 1 million people took the IQ Test on-line in May 2003, with an estimated 1.5 million taking the test using BBCi digital interactive service.
